Privacy Policy

Bible Bedtime Co. (“we,” “us,” or “Tarheel Holding Group LLC”) provides a subscription service that emails personalized, Bible-themed bedtime stories written for a parent's child. This policy explains what we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. It is written to reflect our commitments under the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) and applicable U.S. state privacy laws.

Who our service is for

Our service is intended for parents and guardians, who create and control the account. We do not direct the account experience to children or allow children to register, log in, make purchases, or interact with the service directly. The stories are delivered to the parent's email address for the parent to share with their child.

Information we collect

• Parent account information: your email address and authentication data used for passwordless sign-in.
• Child profile information you provide: a first name (or nickname), birth year/age, pronouns, interests, an optional “life season” note, and optional family/pet characters. You choose what to enter, and you may use a nickname.
• Optional photo uploads: if you choose, a reference photo to personalize a character's illustration. We do not store the original photo — see “AI-generated content & photo uploads” below.
• Preferences and feedback: delivery settings, story themes you select, story ratings, and survey responses you submit.
• Billing information: processed by our payment processor (Stripe). We do not store full card numbers.
• Technical data: basic logs and limited analytics needed to operate and secure the service.

How we use information

• To generate and deliver personalized stories to the parent's email.
• To operate the account, process subscriptions, and provide support.
• To improve story quality using the feedback and surveys you choose to submit.
• To send service-related and, where permitted, occasional product messages. Every commercial email includes an unsubscribe link.

AI-generated content & photo uploads

Our stories and illustrations are created using automated, third-party artificial-intelligence services (currently Google for text and image generation, and OpenAI for the optional read-aloud narration). To generate your content, we send these providers only the information needed for the request — such as the child profile details and preferences you set and, if you choose to upload one, a reference photo. We use these providers on tiers and settings intended to ensure your content is processed solely to provide the service and isnot used to train their AI models.

Photo uploads are optional. If you upload a photo to personalize a character, it is transmitted once to our image provider to create a stylized, illustrated (non-photorealistic) portrait. We do not store the original photo on our systems — only the resulting AI illustration is saved to your account, and you can remove it at any time. Because illustrations are AI-generated, they are stylized interpretations and are not exact likenesses. You can always describe characters in words instead, or skip illustrations entirely.

A note on children's information (COPPA)

The child profile details exist solely to personalize the stories the parent receives. We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children, we do not require a child's real name, and we do not use children's information to serve behavioral advertising. A parent may review, edit, or delete their child's profile at any time from the dashboard, or by contacting us at privacy@biblebedtimeco.com. If you believe a child has provided us information directly, contact us and we will delete it. If you upload a photo to personalize an illustration, it is used only transiently to generate a stylized illustration and is not stored by us.

How we share information

We do not sell personal information. We share information only with service providers who help us run the product — for example, hosting and database, email delivery, payment processing, and the AI services that generate stories, illustrations, and narration — under contracts or terms that limit their use of the data to providing their service to us, or when required by law.

Data retention & security

We keep information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the service, then delete or de-identify it. We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect personal information, though no system is perfectly secure.

Your choices & rights

• Edit or delete child profiles from your dashboard at any time.
• Pause delivery or unsubscribe from emails using the in-app toggle or the unsubscribe link in any email.
• Request access to, correction of, or deletion of your account data by emailing privacy@biblebedtimeco.com.
